Industrial Genome Simulation — Player Guide
01//The Goal
You manage a supply chain network under disruption. Each scenario starts with a shock — a failing supplier, a geopolitical event, a capacity crunch — and your job is to keep the network alive long enough to win.
Every scenario has one or more hub nodes (white border). Win by keeping every hub above its health threshold for the required number of ticks. Lose when any hub hits zero, or when five non-hub nodes collapse (fragmentation).
The clock runs automatically — every tick, pressure propagates through the network. You intervene with a limited action budget. Spend it wisely.
02//Pressure & Health
Each tick, a node's pressure score decays its health and transmits a fraction of that pressure downstream along edges.
Edge weight determines how much pressure transfers. Heavy edges (thicker lines) carry more.
A damage ripple ring shows when a node just took a hit — if ripples are rapid, it's compounding fast.
03//Node Archetypes
Each node has a behavioral type that determines how it handles pressure. Read the archetype — not just the health bar.
04//Your Actions
Select an action from the toolbar, then click a node (or edge, for Decouple) to apply it. Actions are consumed on use — they don't recharge.
05//Supplier Relationships
Every non-hub node has a relationship score (0–100). It tracks how your supplier feels about you.
- 🔧 Reinforce — adds +8 relationship score. Builds trust over time.
- 🛡 Buffer — subtracts −5 relationship score. Emergency terms strain the relationship.
- ⚠️ Below 40 — relationship is at risk. Warning appears in the log.
- 🔴 Below 20 — supplier refuses Buffer. Must Reinforce first to restore cooperation.
Hover any node during gameplay to see its relationship score and supplier personality trait.
06//Fog of War
Some scenarios hide nodes behind a ? marker with a dashed border. These are nodes you know exist but haven't assessed yet.
Hidden nodes still receive and transmit pressure — they're just opaque to you. You can't Reinforce or Buffer them until revealed.
Use Investigate to reveal a hidden node. When revealed, the log shows its archetype and behavior. In Latent-heavy scenarios, investigate early — a Latent node activating mid-game with no actions left is usually a loss.
07//Run Modifiers
Each run rolls random modifiers — conditions that change the rules for that game. They appear at the scenario start screen.
- 🚢 Port Congestion — constrained nodes start stressed
- ⚖ Trade Dispute — Reinforce costs 2 uses
- 📈 Demand Surge — need extra survival ticks to win
- 🔗 Fragile Network — fragile nodes start at 70% HP
- 💸 Reduced Budget — 1 fewer of every action type
- 📊 Market Volatility — all decay rates +20%
- 🌤 Favorable Conditions — resilient nodes recover 2×
- 🍀 Lucky Break — one action type gets +1 use
- 🚛 Smooth Logistics — Buffer cuts 75% instead of 65%
- 🏦 Strategic Reserve — +1 Reinforce, +1 Buffer
- 💚 High Trust Network — suppliers start trust +20
- ⚡ Surge Capacity — hub starts +15 HP, decays slower
08//Winning & Losing
Keep all hub nodes above the scenario health threshold for the required number of ticks. The win condition is shown at the top of each scenario card.
- Any hub node drops to 0% health
- 5 non-hub node collapses (fragmentation)
